Traditions in motion

Series of Kuwait's portraits

One of my family members was fixing his traditional head cloth or "qetra" in the Kuwaiti dialect. "yansif " means to shape the qetra on the head. It was pure natural smile from him, he didn't realize I was taking the shot. It was a men gathering at my grand uncle's new house in Qadsiah, Kuwait City. I enjoy staying with relatives and talk with them about my times in the US. The pleasure to see our traditional clothes is special, I hope people continue to wear them in the next generations. I'm proud to be part of this society, in which the national outfit is considered to be formal and neat.
